The year 2020 has been anything but normal. Even traditions we take for granted (like gathering as family and friends for holidays) are being encountered with restrictions and cautions and in many cases, off limits. Traditions give us consistency in an ever-changing world. Therefore, we will be returning to an old tradition in the Church called Advent – the time for celebrating Christ’s coming to Earth at Christmas 2,000 years ago. This first sermon will look at the HOPE that was brought into the world when Christ was born, and how that same hope can inspire us today.
