Mark 1:9-13

The first time we meet Jesus in the gospels involves His baptism and His temptation in the wilderness. Why in the world would these two events be so significant that all 4 gospels record the baptism and 3 record the temptation? Jesus’s mission would be very challenging, and He needed to know some things before He went. We do too.
