PRAYING THROUGH
PRAY FOR OUR COUNTRY

1. 1 Timothy 2:1–2 “I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.”
   PRAY for all leaders in authority to govern with wisdom, justice, and humility.
2. Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.”
   PRAY that our nation would turn its heart toward God.
3. Proverbs 11:14 “Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.”
   ASK God to surround our leaders with wise and truthful counselors.
4. Jeremiah 29:7 “Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried captive, and pray to Yahweh for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”
   PRAY for peace and stability throughout our country.
5. Psalm 22:28 “For the kingdom is Yahweh’s. He is the ruler over the nations.”
   THANK God that He is sovereign over every nation, including ours.
6. Proverbs 21:1 “The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires.”
   PRAY that God would guide the hearts of national and local leaders.
7. Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
   PRAY that justice, mercy, and humility would characterize our nation.
8. Deuteronomy 6:6–7 “These words which I command you today shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.”
   PRAY for families to disciple their children and build strong, godly homes across the nation.
9. Isaiah 1:17 “Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow.”
   PRAY for protection and justice for the vulnerable in our country.
10. Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
    PRAY for God’s help and protection over our nation in times of crisis.
11. Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”
    PRAY for righteousness to flourish in every part of society.
12. James 1:5 “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.”
    ASK God to guide our upcoming elections to raise up leaders who honor God, uphold truth, and lead with righteousness, wisdom, and integrity.
13. Psalm 85:6 “Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?”
    PRAY for spiritual renewal across our nation.
14. Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.”
    PRAY for peacemakers to rise up in communities, government, and churches.
15. Psalm 72:1 “God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.”
    PRAY that God would give leaders a heart for justice and righteousness.
16. Isaiah 58:12 “Those who will be of you will build the old waste laces. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.”
    PRAY for healing and restoration where our nation is divided.
17. Psalm 34:14 “Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.”
    PRAY that citizens and leaders alike would pursue peace and goodness.
18. Colossians 3:23–24 “And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.”
    PRAY for integrity, diligence, and righteousness in workplaces and throughout the economy.
19. Psalm 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper.”
    PRAY for peace in our cities and for God’s blessing on our communities.
20. Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer.”
    PRAY for perseverance and hope for our nation during difficult times.
21. Psalm 37:3 “Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.”
    PRAY for trust in God to grow across our nation.
22. Isaiah 33:22 “For Yahweh is our judge. Yahweh is our lawgiver. Yahweh is our king. He will save us.”
    PRAY for God’s guidance over our judicial and legislative systems.
23. Psalm 82:3–4 “Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”
    PRAY for justice and compassion for the poor and oppressed.
24. 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
    PRAY for national repentance and a turning back to God.
25. Psalm 5:8 “Lead me, Yahweh, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight before my face.”
    PRAY for God to lead our nation in righteousness and truth.
26. Philippians 2:14–15 “Do all things without complaining and arguing, that you may be blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,”
    PRAY for a culture of humility, kindness, and integrity in public discourse and media.
27. Psalm 9:9 “Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.”
    PRAY for God’s protection over those facing hardship or injustice.
28. Ephesians 4:3 “Being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
    PRAY for unity in the church and across our nation.
29. Psalm 103:19 “Yahweh has established his throne in the heavens. His kingdom rules over all.”
    THANK God that His rule is perfect, just, and eternal.
30. Philippians 4:6–7 “In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.”
    PRAY for God’s peace to guard hearts and minds across our nation.
31. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.”
    PRAY for gratitude for the blessings and freedoms we enjoy as a nation.
