PRAYING THROUGH
PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN AS THEY BEGIN A NEW YEAR OF SCHOOL & ACTIVITIES

1. Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward.
   ASK God to help you treasure children as His heritage and treat them as the reward He declares them to be.
2. Matthew 18:5 “Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me,”
   PRAY for the grace to welcome children in Jesus’ name, recognizing that how you receive them reflects how you receive Him.
3. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
   ASK God to guide your teaching so that children are set on a path they will carry faithfully into adulthood.
4. Isaiah 54:13 All your children will be taught by Yahweh, and your children’s peace will be great.
   PRAY that God Himself will teach your children and fill their lives with the deep peace He promises.
5. Deuteronomy 4:9 Only be careful, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your children and your children’s children–
   ASK God to help you faithfully pass His works and ways to your children and grandchildren.
6. Psalm 78:7 …that they might set their hope in God, and not forget God’s deeds, but keep his commandments,
   PRAY that children will remember God’s mighty works and anchor their hope securely in Him.
7. Mark 10:16 He took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
   ASK Jesus to gather children into His arms today and speak blessing over their lives.
8. Ephesians 6:4 You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
   PRAY for strength to nurture children with the Lord’s instruction in a way that shapes their hearts gently and faithfully.
9. Psalm 115:14 May Yahweh increase you more and more, you and your children.
   ASK God to increase your children in wisdom, faith, and every good thing He desires for them.
10. Proverbs 20:7 A righteous man walks in integrity. Blessed are his children after him.
    PRAY that your integrity will become a blessing that strengthens the children who follow after you.
11. 3 John 4 I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in truth.
    ASK God to lead children into a walk of truth that brings joy to everyone who loves them.
12. Psalm 34:11 Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of Yahweh.
    PRAY that children will listen eagerly to God’s wisdom and learn to honor Him with reverence.
13. Luke 18:16 “Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.”
    ASK God to remove every barrier that keeps children from coming freely and joyfully to Jesus.
14. Proverbs 1:33 But whoever listens to me will dwell securely, and will be at ease, without fear of harm.
    PRAY that children will listen to God’s wisdom and experience the security He promises.
15. Psalm 8:2a From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength…
    ASK God to fill children’s words and worship with the strength He ordains through them.
16. Colossians 3:21 Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged.
    PRAY for the ability to speak and act in ways that lift children’s spirits rather than discourage them.
17. Isaiah 40:11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.
    ASK God to gather children close to His heart and carry them through every challenge they face.
18. Psalm 128:3 Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive shoots around your table.
    PRAY that children will grow like flourishing olive plants—steady, fruitful, and rooted in God’s care.
19. Proverbs 17:6 Children’s children are the crown of old men; the glory of children is their parents.
    THANK God for the generational joy children bring and ask Him to strengthen family bonds across generations.
20. Psalm 139: 13 For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
    PRAY that children will understand they are known, chosen, and set apart by God from the very beginning.
21. Psalm 103:17 But Yahweh’s loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him, his righteousness to children’s children,
    ASK God to surround your children with His everlasting lovingkindness throughout their lives.
22. Proverbs 23:15 My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad, even mine.
    PRAY that children will develop wise hearts that bring joy to God and to those who guide them.
23. Psalm 71:5 For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh, my confidence from my youth.
    ASK God to become the source of hope and confidence for children from their earliest years.
24. Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
    PRAY that children will learn honor, respect, and kindness in their family relationships.
25. Psalm 148:12–13 …both young men and maidens, old men and children: Let them praise Yahweh’s name, for his name alone is exalted. His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
    ASK God to awaken joyful praise in children so they grow up worshiping His name.
26. Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings.
    PRAY that children will turn their ears toward God’s Word and hold tightly to His truth.
27. Psalms 91: 11-12 For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone.
    ASK God to protect, rescue, and preserve children in every way—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
28. Psalm 37:26 All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring is blessed.
    PRAY that God’s blessing will rest on children and follow them throughout their lives.
29. Proverbs 29:17 Correct your son, and he will give you peace; yes, he will bring delight to your soul.
    ASK God to help you offer correction that leads children toward peace, maturity, and joy.
30. Psalm 90:16 Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children.
    PRAY that children will see God’s glory clearly and recognize His work in their lives.
31. Psalms 131:1 See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!
    ASK God to turn hearts toward one another and restore unity, tenderness, and love within families.
