Prayer Inspiration- OCTOBER

PRAYING THROUGH
Praying Earnestly for Our Leaders

  1. Psalm 119:10–11 With my whole heart I have sought you. Don’t let me wander from your commandments. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
    Prayer: Lord, anchor our hearts in Your Word as election season begins. Form convictions rooted not in emotion or culture, but in truth that has been hidden deep within us.
  2. Proverbs 4:25–27 Let your eyes look straight ahead. Fix your gaze directly before you. Make the path of your feet level. Let all of your ways be established. Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil.
    Prayer: Father, steady our focus. Keep us from distraction, division, and deception. Help us walk a straight path of integrity as we discern our choices.
  3. James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
    Prayer: Lord, give us wisdom from above — wisdom untouched by fear, anger, or partisanship. Shape our decisions with purity, mercy, and sincerity.
  4. Ps 15:1–2 Yahweh, who shall dwell in your sanctuary? Who shall live on your holy hill? He who walks blamelessly, does what is right, & speaks truth in his heart.
    Prayer: God, make us a people who speak truth inwardly and outwardly. Let honesty & righteousness guide our conversations & choices throughout this election season.
  5. Isaiah 30:21 and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way. Walk in it.’
    Prayer: Holy Spirit, guide us with clarity. When choices feel complex or overwhelming, let Your voice be unmistakable — directing us toward what honors You.
  6. Psalm 119:133 Establish my footsteps in your word. Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me.
    Prayer: Lord, establish our steps in Your truth. As we approach the election, keep our hearts free from anything that would cloud judgment or distort discernment.
  7. 1 Corinthians 16:13–14 Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong! Let all that you do be done in love.
    Prayer: Father, make us watchful and courageous. Let our engagement in this election be marked not by fear or hostility, but by steadfast faith and genuine love.
  8. Psalm 25:4–5 Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth, & teach me, for you are the God of my salvation. I wait for you all day long.
    Prayer: God, teach us Your ways. Guide us through the noise of election season with clarity, humility, & a heart that longs for Your truth above all else.
  9. Rom 13:12 The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the works of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.
    Prayer: Lord, clothe us with Your light. Let our choices, conversations, and attitudes reflect Your righteousness and not the darkness of division or anger.
  10. Psalm 86:11 Teach me your way, Yahweh. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name.
    Prayer: Father, give us undivided hearts. Remove confusion, double mindedness, and emotional pressure. Help us walk in truth as we prepare to vote.
  11. Ps 19:12–13 Who can discern his errors? Forgive me for hidden errors. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me.
    Prayer: Lord, purify our motives as we approach the election. Reveal blind spots, remove pride, & keep us from choices shaped by anything other than Your truth.
  12. Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
    Prayer: Father, let Your peace govern our hearts when conversations grow tense or emotions rise. Make gratitude and calmness our posture in every election discussion.
  13. Psalm 43:3 Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill, to your tents.
    Prayer: God, shine Your light on what is true. Lead us through misinformation, confusion, and conflicting voices. Let Your truth be the compass that guides our decisions.
  14. Gal 5:22–23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
    Prayer: Holy Spirit, cultivate Your fruit in us. Let our attitudes, words, & choices reflect Your character — especially in moments of disagreement or uncertainty.
  15. Ps 90:12 So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
    Prayer: Lord, give us a wise & eternal perspective. Help us see beyond temporary politics & choose what aligns with Your lasting kingdom.
  16. Ps 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet, & a light for my path.
    Prayer: Lord, illuminate our path as we prepare to vote. Let Your Word be the guiding light that shapes our decisions, not the shifting opinions of the moment.
  17. 1 Peter 3:11 Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.
    Prayer: Father, make us pursuers of peace in a season often marked by conflict. Help us choose what is good, honorable, and peace building in every conversation and decision.
  18. Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
    Prayer: Lord, guard our tongues and our hearts. Help us reject exaggeration, rumor, and falsehood. Make us people who speak truth with grace during election conversations.
  19. Psalm 27:11 Teach me your way, Yahweh. Lead me in a straight path because of my enemies.
    Prayer: Father, lead us on a straight and steady path. When the election season feels chaotic or adversarial, keep our hearts aligned with Your direction and Your peace.
  20. Psalm 119:2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes, who seek him with their whole heart.
    Prayer: Lord, give us whole hearted devotion as we prepare to vote. Let our decisions flow from sincere pursuit of You rather than divided loyalties or cultural pressure.
  21. Romans 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
    Prayer: Father, purify our love and sharpen our discernment. Help us reject what is evil, deceptive, or manipulative, and cling tightly to what is good, true, and honorable.
  22. Psalm 101:2 I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart.
    Prayer: God, make our private lives match our public convictions. Shape our character so deeply that our election choices reflect integrity formed in the quiet places.
  23. roverbs 16:3 Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed.
    Prayer: Lord, we commit our thoughts, conversations, and decisions about the election to You. Establish our plans according to Your wisdom, not our assumptions.
  24. Psalm 119:37 Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things. Revive me in your ways.
    Prayer: Father, guard our attention from distractions, negativity, and empty political noise. Revive our hearts so we stay focused on what truly matters to You.
  25. Prov 12:17 He who is truthful testifies honestly, but a false witness lies.
    Prayer: Father, help us recognize truth & reject deceit. Guard our hearts from misinformation and shape our decisions with righteousness.
  26. Psalm 40:8 I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.
    Prayer: God, align our desires with Your will. Let our election choices reflect hearts shaped by Your Word rather than cultural pressure.
  27. Phil 1:9–10 This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ,
    Prayer: Lord, increase our love and sharpen our discernment. Help us choose what is excellent, honorable, and pleasing to You in this election season.
  28. Ps 119:45 I will walk in liberty, for I have sought your precepts.
    Prayer: God, let us walk in the freedom that comes from seeking Your ways. Free us from fear, confusion, & pressure as we make decisions guided by Your truth.
  29. Thessalonians 5:21–22 Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
    Prayer: Father, help us test every message, claim, and influence with spiritual discernment. Strengthen us to cling to what is good and reject anything that leads away from You.
  30. Psalm 119:7 I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart, when I hear your righteous judgements.
    Prayer: God, give us upright hearts as we evaluate choices. Teach us to see with clarity, respond with worship, and trust Your righteous judgments above our own.
  31. Hebrews 10:23 Let’s hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.
    Prayer: Lord, anchor our hope in You alone. As election results unfold, keep us steady, confident, and unwavering — trusting fully in Your faithfulness no matter the outcome.
