PRAYING THROUGH
GOD’S LOVE FOR US
- Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
THANK God for loving you before you ever turned toward Him. REFLECT on His grace that pursued you.
- John 4:9 “By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.”
PRAISE God for sending Jesus. ASK Him to help you live fully through His love today.
- Psalm 36:7 “How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.”
REST in God’s protection. THANK Him for being your safe refuge.
- Zephaniah 3:17 “The LORD your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”
PICTURE God rejoicing over you. RECEIVE His delight with joy and gratitude.
- John 15:9 “Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.”
PRAY to remain rooted in Christ’s love today. ASK for help staying close to Him.
- Lamentations 3:22 “The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail.”
THANK God for His daily mercies. REFLECT on how His love has sustained you.
- Isaiah 54:10 “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” says the LORD who has compassion on you.
DECLARE God’s love as your anchor in uncertain times. PRAY for someone facing instability.
- John 3:1 “See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”
REJOICE in your identity as God’s beloved child. PRAY for deeper intimacy with Him.
- Jeremiah 31:3 “The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.’”
MEDITATE on God’s everlasting love. ASK Him to draw your heart closer today.
- John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
REFLECT on the depth of God’s sacrifice. PRAY for those who haven’t yet received His love.
- Romans 8:38–39 “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
DECLARE that nothing can separate you from God’s love. PRAY against fear and doubt.
- Song of Solomon 2:4 “He has brought me to his banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.”
PICTURE God’s love covering you. THANK Him for claiming you as His own.
- Titus 3:4–5 “But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.”
THANK God for His saving love. PRAY for someone who needs to encounter His kindness.
- 1 Corinthians 13:13 “But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
On Valentine’s Day, CELEBRATE God’s perfect love. PRAY to love others with His heart.
- Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
Personalize this verse. SAY aloud: “Jesus loves me and gave Himself for me.”
- Psalm 103:11 “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.”
MARVEL at the vastness of God’s love. PRAISE Him for His immeasurable mercy.
- Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”
THANK God for His faithfulness. PRAY to trust His love even when you don’t feel it.
- Ephesians 2:4–5 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).”
CELEBRATE your new life in Christ. PRAY for revival in your heart and community.
- 2 Thessalonians 2:16 “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace.”
ASK Jesus to encourage and strengthen you with His love today.
- 1 Proverbs 3:3–4 “Do not let kindness and truth leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man.”
PRAY to walk in love and faithfulness. ASK God to shape your character.
- Colossians 3:14 “Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.”
ASK God to clothe you in love. PRAY for unity and peace in your relationships.
- Jude 1:21 “Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.”
PRAY for spiritual alertness. ASK God to help you stay in His love and truth.
- Psalm 89:2 “For I have said, ‘Lovingkindness will be built up forever; in the heavens You will establish Your faithfulness.’”
PRAISE God for His steadfast love across generations. PRAY for faith to trust His faithfulness in the future as He has proven it in the past.
- 1 John 4:16 “We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”
INVITE God’s love to dwell richly in you. PRAY to reflect His love in your actions.
- Hosea 11:4 “I led them with cords of a man, with bonds of love, and I became to them as one who lifts the yoke from their jaws; and I bent down and fed them.”
THANK God for His tender, nurturing love. PRAY to recognize His gentle leading in your daily life and to follow Him with trust.
- Psalm 136:26 “Give thanks to the God of heaven, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.”
End the month with gratitude. PRAISE God for His everlasting love that never fades.
- Isaiah 62:5 “For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you.”
THANK God for His rejoicing love. PRAY that your life reflects the joy and devotion of one who is deeply loved by Him.

REFLECT on how God’s love has shaped your life. ASK Him to help you love others with the same initiating, faithful love.
